This second year festival, once again taking place at the Capital City Amphitheater in Cascades Park, promises two-days full of funky blues, boogie-woogie guitar, dazzling horns, lift-your-feet jazz and electrifying, soul-stirring performances.
The lineup offers talent from international, national, regional and local musicians.
This year’s headliners include Mr. Sipp “The Mississippi Blues Child” and the New Orleans Suspects, along with jazz legends Carmen Bradford with Scotty Barnhart.
Mr. Sipp brings down the house with his upbeat, soulful blues and outlandish performances that make him a blues powerhouse. The New Orleans Suspects put their own spin on the music of New Orleans, as they layer boogie-woogie piano, soulful blues guitar and jazzy horns on top of funky bass lines and complex rhythms. Jazz royalty, Carmen Bradford and Scotty Barnhart offer a classic, rousing “Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald” featuring Carmen’s vocal prowess and Scotty’s command on the jazz trumpet.
